GGSC partner with print college
Dec 2025: Earlier this year, Goss Graphic Systems (China) Co., Ltd (GGSC) entered into a strategic partnership with Shanghai Printing and Publishing College (SPPC).
GGSC and SPPC will combine their strengths in industry, academia, and research to jointly promote the development of a technological innovation system and to cultivate high-skilled talent.
As a follow-up, GGSC and SPPC recently co-hosted the 2025 Book and Periodical Printing Technology Seminar. The conference made full use of the advantages of the industry-university cooperation, inviting printer operators and technical staff from businesses nationwide to participate.
The conference adopted a "theory + practice" seminar format, covering key aspects of the entire book and magazine printing process - from basic printing principles and practical skills to color management, quality control, and cutting-edge technological applications.
During the hands-on session, participants visited the GGSC production workshop and participated in key processes on the WISPRINT M-700S press.
New 6 tower press order
Nov 2025: New newspaper press order for Xinhua News Media Group in the PRC.
The Goss Magnum press for Xinhua News Media is configured with six 4-high towers, three J133 Z18 folders, and eight reelstands. The press configuration offers the flexibility to produce a wide variety of single and full-color products, with multiple outputs possible.
As part of the industry-leading WISPRINT 35 and 45 product range, the Magnum press system is exclusively marketed under the Magnum brand in China. Internationally, the latest evolution of this model is available under the WISPRINT 45 brand.
"The WISPRINT 35 and 45 models are firmly rooted in the sector and are the direct descendants of sector-defining and market-leading press systems, with thousands of units installed worldwide. They have the capability to produce a wide variety of newspaper and semi-commercial products, building on our rich heritage of press developments in the 35,000 to 45,000 cph segment. By working closely with Xinhua News Media to understand their specific production needs and business objectives, the GGSC team has configured a press line that will deliver exceptional flexibility and efficiency." Installation is slated for Q2 2026.
Strategic Investment
October 2025: Established in 2004, Shandong Jinbanyuan is an integrated cultural and technology company specializing in book research and development, publishing, and printing platforms. Its subsidiary, Shandong Classic Printing, was founded in 2018 and operates several production lines becoming a national leader in China’s printing industry.
In 2021, Shandong Classic Printing introduced the WISPRINT M-700S, a horizontal web lead book press equipped with intelligent controls that integrate pre-press and post-press workflows to maximize quality.
In response to these market changes, Shandong made a strategic decision earlier this year to upgrade its black-and-white M-700S printing system to support multicolor book production. Working in partnership with Shandong, GGSC has supplied and integrated additional press equipment, press upgrades and control system modifications plus a complete reconfiguration of the press line. This has enabled a seamless transition from black-and-white to multicolor book printing capabilities at Shandong’s facility.
WISPRINT Compact installation
September 2025: The latest WISPRINT Compact press line officially commenced production at the Changsha Evening News media production facility in September. The WISPRINT Compact for Changsha Evening News combines efficiency, environmental sustainability, and advanced intelligence, establishing a new benchmark for web press printing in the region.
Fully equipped with a range of automation features, including automatic plate changing, intelligent integrated controls, and automatic color and cutoff registration, the new press significantly enhances print quality and production efficiency.
The flexible design of the Compact press addresses the challenges of the current printing market, characterized by a mix of long and short run lengths and a surge in personalized printing demands. This deployment demonstrates GGSC’s technical expertise and its ability to deliver customized, intelligent print system solutions.
The new WISPRINT Compact for Changsha Evening News is configured wi.th 4-four high towers and 2 folders, bringing the total number of Compact towers sold worldwide to over 55.
Addressing obsolescence
August 2025: Innovative T155 Card Replacement Solution from Goss Graphic Systems (China) Co., Ltd.
Obsolescence is a common challenge in the printing industry, especially when vital components become discontinued. GGSC is leading the way by developing a robust upgrade for the now-obsolete T155 electronic cards, which have been central to remote registration systems on several Goss and Wisprint presses for a number of years.
Our solution restores full remote registration control, allowing precise lateral and circumferential adjustments, via a new dedicated console featuring a touchscreen and keypad. This upgrade ensures continued reliable operation, extending the life of existing presses and maintaining high-quality standards.

WISPRINT press inauguration
July2025: The latest single-width, one-around press installation from Goss Graphic Systems (China) Co., Ltd roared into production in June at the Hubei Chutian Media Printing Co., Ltd. facility in Hubei Province, China. The event was attended by members of the Hubei Daily Media Group, GGSC and representatives from partner companies involved in this significant project. Witnessing the milestone event, the group celebrated as the first Hubei Daily newspapers rolled off the GGSC press.
The new web press, capable of producing 45,000 copies per hour, features four 4-high towers and two J133 folders, with a focus on operational efficiency and high productivity. The investment marks a strategic milestone for Chutian Media, as they advance toward smarter, more localized print production, aligning with industry trends toward more intelligent and sustainable print solutions.
Under the WISPRINT brand, GGSC offer a range of industry leading newspaper web press systems for the global market including the WISPRINT 35 and 45 models. As the direct descendants of sector defining and market leading press systems, with over 40,000 similar units installed worldwide, the WISPRINT 35 and 45 press models have their lineage deeply rooted in the newspaper press sector.

May 2025: On the first day of China Print 2025 in Beijing, colleagues from the Goss Graphic Systems (China) Co., Ltd international team based at our headquarters in Shanghai, got together with Nidal Odeh, our head of global sales and business development from our WISPRINT Europe operation and our esteemed agents from India and South Africa.
The exhibition provided an ideal opportunity to connect our international team, along with members of our global agent network, with our valued clients from across the globe.
WISPRINT M-700S keeps impressing
March 2025: The WISPRINT M-700S is making significant strides in the book printing sector with its state-of-the-art technology. The integration of intelligent controls for pre-press, press, and post-press processes highlights our commitment to maximizing print quality while minimizing waste.
Since its launch in 2020, the M-700S has quickly gained popularity, evidenced by the sale of over 200 presses within the first three years. This rapid adoption suggests a strong demand for high-quality, cost-effective printing solutions in the industry.
In recent months, several open house events have been held, enabling printers and publishers to observe the M-700S in action with the WISPRINT team present to assist throughout. Witnessing the capabilities of the equipment first-hand can provide valuable insights into the performance and reliability of the press, which is crucial in the decision-making process when investing in printing technology.

Feb 2025: As we welcome the Year of the Snake, Goss Graphic Systems (China) Co., Ltd. embraces the profound symbolism of wisdom, intuition, and adaptability that this sign embodies. Just as the snake sheds its skin, we are dedicated to continuous growth and innovation within our industry.
It was smiles and handshakes all round when the WISPRINT team returned to work recently following the break for the new year celebrations. Senior staff took time out to greet each team member individually as the business looks forward to another year developing solutions and building relationships with clients across the globe.

June 2024: At drupa expo 2024 in Düsseldorf, Germany, Goss Graphic Systems (China) Co., Ltd. marked a significant milestone by showcasing under the WISPRINT brand for the first time in Europe.
The team capitalised on the opportunity to present the complete range of WISPRINT products at one of the most prestigious events in the graphic arts industry.
WISPRINT welcomed visitors from across the globe, underscoring the brand's growing international presence and commitment to innovation. This successful participation not only highlighted WISPRINT's technology and solutions, but also reinforced its position within the competitive graphic arts market.

April 2024: In April and in preparation for drupa 2024, WISPRINT unveiled the new company theme of Progress through Fusion. This initiative highlights the WISPRINT commitment to merging traditional expertise with advanced technologies to propel progress within the printing industry. 800 Visitors attend Open House
November 2023: Over 800 visitors, including several of our partners from across our support network, attended the Goss Graphic Systems (China) Co., Ltd Open House event at the home of WISPRINT in Shanghai, China in November 2023.
The event was held over two days to enable GGSC to accommodate the volume of visitors interested in exploring our state-of-the art facility, and learn more about our latest product developments. Members of the WISPRINT team presented product and technology updates to the assembled guests, before each visitor group then had the chance to explore a variety of running press demonstrations from across the product range including the new WISPRINT M-700X vertical web book printing system.
